One Thing 02:57
Spent 31 years mistrusting I only want one thing and it’s fucking disgusting I need to feel like I’m not being followed, like my whole world is not being swallowed Don’t want to grip clenched fists, grind gritted teeth through pursed lips I need to feel like I’ll live forever Like the whole world is at my leisure I only want, I only want one thing When everything’s gone I’ll be here I’ll stand tall when the pale horse appears I just need, when this world is shattered, to be the last piece of matter I only want, I only want one thing
3.
Catechised 03:27
Have I been baptised? Have I been catechised? I’ve seen the sights you see before you die
4.
Bole Hills 02:26
There’s flowers out in the garden and I can’t sow seeds without them There’s silence out in the Bole Hills and I’m hopefully searching for soil to till At night I feel your body twitching My feet itching from overuse The phone screen lights the bedroom with incandescent light The walls reflect the fact it’s every night

No Good Deed 03:19
I give heed to chapped lips, to child-bearing hips Words of knowledge are a precious jewel And talebearer if it pleases you I’d like to be emptied out into the ocean and pull the plug Pull the plug No good deed unpunished No man honest
7.
New Body 02:01
On that resurrection morning When all dead in Christ shall rise I'll have a new body I'll have a new life Won't it be so bright and fair When we meet our loved ones there? I'll have a new body I'll have a new life I'll have a new home of glory eternal Where the redeemed of G-d shall stand There'll be no more sorrow There'll be no more strife Raised in the likeness of my Saviour Ready to live in Paradise I'll have a new body I'll have a new life
8.
Unused Wood 04:03
Said “I sold my soul” You don’t know the half of it But good Lord, am I glad to see the back of this shitty job Day in day out Suits grow holes Why can’t I just do what I’m told? I thought I’d feel good Batten down the hatches with unused wood This time I could wait to find New light still caught on the back of my eyes I thought I’d feel good Batten down the hatches with unused wood I fall down on all fours and ask please please please let me be your sword

about

The third, and longest, solo release from musician and recording/mastering engineer Adam Zejma sees him further blur the lines between experimentation, found sound and traditional alternative/indie song-writing. This time drafting in Zebedee Budworth (Night Flowers, Space Malk) to assist with performance, "Rusher Cutting, For Keiji" was recorded over a period of two years at Sheffield's Tye Die Tapes HQ.

Drawing diffuse influences from alternative folk and country, drone, noise, indie rock and traditional gospel music Adam crafts challenging songs that lurch from pop choruses to harsh noise back to vulnerable guitar-led folk. "Rusher Cutting, For Keiji" spans the breadth of the instrumentation available to Adam including numerous synthesisers, live drums, trumpet (performed by Tom McCormick of Acid Mass & Salt Pig) and the church organ of St. Mark's Church in Broomhill, Sheffield.

The record is an 8 song chronicle of experiencing and confronting isolation at home and at work. As with previous releases, Adam frequently juxtaposes perspectives on modern life and the internet with gnostic religious imagery. This uncomfy marriage between technology and tradition is laid bare on tracks like "One Thing" and "Bole Hills", evident in the lyrics but also in the arrangements.
