Fully improvised experimental instrumental music from members of UK indie rock, sludge and experimental bands arranged using the “Asensuri” method.

Zebedee Budworth (Night Flowers), Tom McCormick (Acid Mass) and Adam Zejma (naisian) frequently come together as Space Malk at Sheffield’s Tye Die Tapes to record improvised music. Land of Malk and Honey is made up from a week of improvisation recorded in early 2018 and assembled into songs throughout the following year using the “Asenburi” method.

The Asenburi method is a means of making music that involves recording extensive improvisation sessions, some continuing uninterrupted for hours, that are arranged painstakingly through digital audio editing. A number of Sheffield-based artists have released music created using this technique including Heavy Lifting and Acid Mass.

Land of Malk and Honey’s instrumentation of drums, fretless bass, electric guitar, synthesisers and saxophone provides a diverse palette of sounds and approaches to performance.
